Not very clean. In our room there was a separated by curtain place with shower, but there was no shower head. Lady at reception told us that they will repair it quickly, but they didn't till we've left (3 days). Beds and matresses are old and uncomfortable. However, it's cheap and near underground station - these are only pros of...

I have been traveling for 4 months now across most one Europe including the east and the Baltic States and I have to say this is the worst hostel I have ever been to. The staff are absolutely disgustingly rude to the point of bullying, the rooms are filled with mould dirt and rubbish the beds are filthy and sheets...

I stayed here 4 nights with a friend this past summer while travelling England. It is close to a major "tube" station (Bayswater) and is no more than a 5 minute walk to a main street with tons of little coffee shops, every kind of food imaginable, and lots of tourist shops. It is a 10-15 minute "tube" ride to...

I've stayed for 3 weeks last year, and I didn't have any issues. I didn't need much as well, just a bed to sleep, a shower and a kitchen, and I found that for a cheap price in a good location. I can't complain. The stuff was always helpful and the rooms were clean.

We've been there for one night. The double room was clean enough and the location very convenient. The price cheap for the London standard. Friendly staff. The entrance, the corridors, the stairs all spray painted make you feel you are in a squat, and for a while I thought it could be possible... It's a pity, because the building must...

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
