A grand name, externally a grand building, a grand view. A car park and on the edge of London and only £59 for a single room and English breakfast. Yet I will be going to one of the chains when I next visit family in the area as hey is it ok to just chop a hole in the ceiling...

As country bumpkins from the far southwest, we recently had to make a visit by rail to Whipps Cross Hospital and found the Sir Alfred Hitchcock which was only a five minute walk away. The accommodation was perfectly clean and comfortable. We had asked for a quiet room, so were put at the back away from the road. I usually...

Room was lovely, clean, comfy bed, quality towels, lots of toiletries , tea , coffee etc, really couldn't fault it, yes it's on a busy...

We chose this hotel as it was convenient for us to visit the family but I certainly wouldn,t recommend it for any length of time. Over night only. As we stayed for five we lived out of a suitcase as there are no wardrobes in the rooms only a few hooks and two hangers. The whole place needs a complete...

I have always stayed with my aunt in East London. However this time I was coming over with my father. Outside of Stratford there is not much accommodation in East London. I choose this because of the name and it was cheap by London standards and sounded interesting. The good : 1. Very comfortable sleep 2. Good breakfast 3. Located...

It is no way modern but friendly staff. There are no lifts so I would book in future for a room on the 1st floor. I did...

The Good A beautiful setting and a fine inn with car parking, welcoming staff, a friendly lively bar and a great selection of beers all well priced. The bed was comfortable. The bad I had a lovely steak for dinner, my partner and her friend had already eaten and wanted only a cup of tea. Three times they tried, three...

What a nice place to stay. We stayed here on regular family visits for ten times now. Sometimes staying in three rooms, sometimes in one. Downstairs there is plenty of space, the pub looks so authentic Victorian with its fireplaces. The rooms are basic containing all you need. The manager Alan is a great guy, very attentive to your needs....
