We stayed at this hotel in June 2012. The apartment was well maintained, spacious and clean. The view was fantastic. We could see the back of Buckingham Palace and had a great view of the street. Location was also good. It was a 5 minute walk to Victoria Station and we had shops and pubs all within walking distance. The...

My husband and I stayed with our friends - party of 4 in June 2012 for 3 nights. The fact that it was self contained was great as we could buy food and heat up at the Apartment. Also having the advantage of being able to do our own washing before we went off touring. The location was perfect just...

This was a great place to stay in London. We were a party of five adults and there was plenty of space and great facilities for us all. Although there was only one bathroom in the apartment, it did have two toilets which was good. We were able to do our own laundry, and there was a large hot water...

My son and his wife and myself stayed in the Lakeview Court Apartments for 5 days in mid May and while it is not 5 star luxury it was very comfortable and surprisingly roomy with everything you need . We were thrilled with the position as it was just a short stroll to Buckingham Palace and an easy walk to...

We stayed at in a 2 bedroom large apartment in December 2011 for 10 nights. Travleled with 2 small children (under 6) and 3 adults. Youngest child slept on a roll-away-bed. We were happy with the apartment itself, large and spacious, kitchen had all the minimum utencils, one tv, a dvd player (no music system). Furntiure was a bit dated....

We got an apartment @ Lakeview Court for 5 days through a hotel booking site and we got 30% discount. We had to get the keys from Thistle Hotel staff (adjoining the apartments) The staff @ Thistle are really not the friendliest people I have encountered. Not even a smile on their faces (must have been the cold chill in...

Mostly, we wanted a two bedroom apartment located in the Victoria area that fell within our price range. Lakeview Court fit the bill well. It's a little tired looking as far as furniture and lighting, but it was clean and spacious. There was a small en suite bathroom in addition to the regular size; one large bedroom and one smaller...

That was a disgrace in the middle of London, in the vicinity of Buckingham Palace (!) The key to the outside door was not working properly, and we were told to "wiggle it" to open the door. Ok. The top floor was probably flooded, not just on one occasion - the stench was horrible. That was just the first impression....

These apartments are well located - a stones throw from Buckingham Palace. Unfortunately they are in desperate need of an overhaul. Almost everything is shabby and worn out. I stayed there with my family (four adults and one toddler) for five nights. During our stay one toilet broke, the lift stopped and many appliances did not work. The hotel attempted...

Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
