When you book a hostel, don't expect a large room or frills attached. Expect a hostel! It's basic, yes but it's very clean, very well organised and very central to London. I have stayed in many hostels well below the par of this so there is no room to complain at all! My one small niggle was how hot the...

I stayed in a private room on the 1st floor with a double bed on bottom and single bunk on top. The room was a decent size with a sink and several shelves. There was a window that let in fresh air. The room was provided with bedding and towels which was good, although the pillows are rather thin. Our...

Me and a friend of mine stayed at the hostel for 5 nights. We booked a mixed bedroom with 4 beds, because we didn't want to sleep in a room with more persons. The room was located in the basement, which wasn't that bed, because kitchen and a girls only shower room were nearby. Our room was really small. It...

Loved my stay in London. Staff were helpful and facilitated us in changing to a dorm because we didn't like the 'prison cell' that we had originally booked because it had the same atmosphere as a literal prison cell - if you're a social person and enjoy natural sunlight, avoid this room! Once we moved rooms, it was onwards and...

Great hostel with nice crew and goods rooms. It's close to king cross station and it's perfect to visit London with friends. We were 2 nights and it was perfect Clean rooms and goods bathrooms. Breakfast is correct and 'clashbar' with goods prices.

Fantastic location for both transport and places to eat. Staff were very helpful when my friend and I got caught in the rain. They gave us extra towels and asked how we were feeling the next day. Rooms were the only downside as they got really hot and we're quite small.

we were a group of 8 people travelling for a wedding. Since dorms are 4-beds, I kindly asked if it was possible to place us in two rooms. Although they couldn't guarantee that, they said they tried their best and that they would have advised me if anything. Of course they didn't. Honestly dunno why. Moreover I was in a,...

The hostel is well located (10 mins walking distance from Kings Cross/St Pancras stations) and has various eateries and convenience stores nearby. I stayed in a female only 4 bed dorm. It was tiny and there are no lockers in the room, so be mindful of your luggage. The shower blocks were extremely basic and could use a rack to...

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighbourhood Profile
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
