Sue is just lovely - we felt like she was an old friend within about 5 minutes of arriving. She was so helpful - even to the point of giving us a lift to one of the restaurants we ate in. The house is beautifully furnished and our bedroom very comfortable. Breakfasts were just what we wanted.

My husband and I stayed just one night here, at this very welcoming B and B on the outskirts of Liverpool. Our hostess, Sue, went out of her way to to make us feel comfortable in her home, and gave us directions for getting to the nearby attractions, including John Lennon's house and Penny Lane. The English breakfast in the...

Having decided to take a last minute flight to Liverpool on Easter Weekend with my Dad, I was struggling to find somewhere to stay for the night at a reasonable cost as the cheapest budget hotel I could find was charging £200 for the night! After coming across The Avenue on the Internet, we called with little hope that there...

We stayed here for one night visiting family. Our room was spacious & beautifully decorated with a very comfortable bed and small ensuite. We enjoyed our 'full English' breakfast & Sue was the perfect hostess and we felt most welcome in her home. This is a great base from which to explore Liverpool with a frequent bus service nearby. We...

Enjoyed a two night stay while attending a funeral nearby. Sue is a very good host, very welcoming and likes to chat to the guests. The house is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. We stayed in the Field View room which had a most comfortable double bed and all the other amenities you would expect. Our only criticism would be...

The b&b was clean wonderfully decorated. The owner was very welcoming and informative she sorted us out with a cheap taxi. Breakfast was amazing defiantly worth a visit. Taxi to centre about £10 however your lying well under amount for room that you would be in centre so works out well

What a perfect place ! Sue is the best host you can ever get, we felt more like a family visitor. The house is spotless , breakfast was fabulous. Bus stop is just outside, to get you in to Liverpool. I very highly recommend this place.

We booked an independent Bed and Breakfast such as this as it is often more personal than a big chain. Our stay was lovely. The owner, Sue, was warm and welcoming and looked after us well. The place was very stylish and comfortable. Our room was lovely and decorated in calm colors and even had a small balcony overlooking the...
