Is this establishment still open ? Tried to telephone on a number of occasions - no reply and no answerphone ! Also no reply to emails sent via their webpage. Doesn't inspire confidence. i notice all previous reviews are for 2013. It certainly looks like a good value guesthouse with a convenient location.

We were actually looking for a B & B a little closer to the city centre as we were only visiting Lincoln for one night but it turned out to be quite a nice walk. On our arrival James met us at the door and gave us our street parking pass. Parking wasn't a problem, we got a spot right... More

Attending a conference in LIncoln, I stayed in The Ivory Guest House for 2 nights in April and was very comfortable and well-looked after. My room and the general facilities were clean, quiet and had everything I needed. The place is a short walk from the centre of town, and near the cathedral, so ideally placed for a visit. James... We spent a very comfortable 3 nights here visiting relatives and we were allowed to arrive on Christmas Day using a key safe. Hosts were away but popped in to make sure we were ok and left a self service continental breakfast for us for boxing day morning. By the second morning normal breakfast service was resumed with excellent bacon... More

You would not expect to find accommodation of this quality on a street that has frankly seen better days. Rooms beautifully furnished and comfortable. Everything sparkling clean. Welcoming and informative hosts. Excellent and generous breakfasts, beautifully cooked. House is only a short walk away from the lively centre of Lincoln. Much to see of historic interest - more than we... More

Do not be put off by the outside appearance of the property. This is a great value for money Guest House. The interior is first class, we stayed longer than we intended to do as it was that good, we had four nights 9th to 13th Sept. and had a great time. Our host James was excellent and produced top... We echo Cannelloni's comments. Despite first appearances our stay from May 1-3 was excellent. Parking is on the street but we had no problem finding a space, and James had the permit in-hand as we came through the door. Our room was on the (english) first floor. If you are over 6'-2" mind your head on the stair turn. Room... More
