Now, I've been to the mill on soar countless times. The food isn't too bad, you get what you pay for, can't be terrible or I wouldn't return. Now being a diabetic I'm learning how to carefully count carbohydrates So i can have just the right amount of insulin, trying to cheat I asked if they had any paperwork for...

One night stay. The lodges are separate accommodation to the pub. Large, clean and comfortable. A little tired in places. The staff are lovely. And the breakfast was very yummy. It's close to the main road so you can hear the traffic from the lodges. Sound sleepers won't notice though as it's not that bad. Would stay again.

My room was very dated and tired in places but was extremely clean with plenty of fresh towels each day. My room had a well stocked hot drinks selection, plus plenty of storage and space in the room for the price. My room was made up for me each day whilst I was out which is a nice touch. Shame...

Greene King could do with spending some money on updating the accommodation. Bathroom was way below standard with Toilet looking though it had seen better days. Strange flaking off of enamel which left what looked like bare metal underneath. Sink had similar bad damage to it. Bathroom did smell clean and didn't really find any evidence of it being dirty....

The Mill on the soar is my local hunger Horse pub, they offer a good selection of well cooked food to suit all ages, there is a large car park and a children’s play area. The service is excellent when they are not busy, however it has dropped off in the past to “dreadful” when they are busy, so pick...

We have been coming here for the past 4 saturdays for lunch. Such a good price for the food (although they had ran out of chicken tikka 3 weeks in a row) The food is good quality and the place is clean. Puddings are amazing... the warm chocolate cake being my fave! One thing, sometimes the staff on the bar...

A great welcome from the staff on arrival The rooms are in a separate building to the Hungary horse so reducing the noise, The rooms were clean and tidy with tea making facilities and a comfortable bed. Very good value for money Will be staying again soon

Always welcomed by the staff and the hungry horse pub certainly knows how to fill you up. I would say that the rooms do need a bit of TLC especially the bathrooms. In saying that they were very comfortable and warm. Will definitely be visiting there again.

Having popped in because our usual pub has closed for a refurb - we thought we'd give this place a try.
