We have just had a fantastic 4 night stay at McHalls and I only wish we could have stayed longer. We stopped there to attend the Rebellion festival at The Winter Gardens and it was the perfect haven to return to after a hectic day. We couldn't get into the same B & B our friends had booked and I...

I travel quiet a lot, but, this is my first ever review. From the moment you check in you notice the care and attention to detail. The gratis ice water and milk out of the dining room refrigerator to name but one thing. Discussing it with my wife after we left, our biggest regret is that we only booked one...

Stayed 3 nights 5th to 8th Aug 2016. Daniel was an amazing front of house personality and Gavin cooks terrific food. We loved the place, spotless and very well presented with great colour and fun accessories. Daniel new every guest by name which can't be easy when they are as busy and successful as they are. We stayed at McHalls last weekend as a last minute weekend away. We were greeted by Daniel who looked after us exceptionally well for the full weekend. Gavin's meals were to die for, breakfast was cooked to perfection and the evening meals were filling and delicious. Great location for the local bars and not to far to walk to anywhere...

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights on a bed breakfast with shared bathroom basis. On arrival,we were greeted warmly by Daniel who addressed us by our first name and continued to do so throughout our stay as he did with all other guests, A lovely gesture! He offered us a free upgrade to ensuite for 2 of our...

There's nothing new to add to the hundreds of amazing reviews this gem of a hotel has received, suffice to say superb hosting, fantastic food, spotlessly clean, quirky decor and we were made to feel more like guests in Danny & Gavin's home, as opposed to paying customers. One word of advice, if you get chance to eat in the...
