My boyfriend and I booked a room here over the weekend, one double bed with shared bathroom. Place was easy to find and the owners let us park in their driveway, which is great given there was virtually no parking anywhere nearby (many thanks for that!)... The B&B is homey, quiet, and comfortable. The heating was left on all night...

We booked at the last minute for a couple of nights to visit Blackpool tower and the annual Blackpool illuminations with our grandchildren, with their ages we needed a family room and the one we got was just what we needed, two comfortable double beds and a ensuite with a great shower. I booked the merginn hotel as quite a last minute break for a weekend away with my mam. It was illuminations switch on weekend so struggled to find accommodation that would suit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Merginn hotel. Dawn and Steve are welcoming and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Every where is clean and tidy and our bed, in room 6, was the most comfortable bed we had slept in away from home, so we slept well. There were 5 people booked in for a weekend 2 had disabilities, the rooms were dirty inadequate, extremely dated, there was a pungent smell of sweat in the hall. One room family room was very basic more like a hostel, the second room was dingy and dated and we are relieved we never booked to eat breakfast there

Myself and my fiance stayed at the Merginn for one night and couldn't fault the room and the hospitality shown by Steve and Dawn. They were incredibly welcoming and the breakfast was good value for money. I would recommend this hotel to anyone

Brilliant place to stay, Steve and Dawn are great; Steve is hilarious and the hotel is clean and nicely designed. They have basic rules; stick to them and you'll get on fine. Will definitely be returning. Josh and Jen :)

Me and my husband stayed over the bank holiday weekend in August. Great bed really comfortable sleep.The Mergin has not been decorated since the eighties.Nicotine colour everywhere.Borders to match.Bit lite on the beverage sachets.Dark brown towels to match curtains and cushions were like cardboard, fabric conditioner now and again would not come amiss.My husband had one breakfast he said when...

I have only given The Merginn 3 rather than 4 out of 5 as compared to other b&b's that are similarly priced, I found this one just not quite as good as others. Don't get me wrong, it was a friendly and welcoming b&b. What struck me first was no dedicated reception area, it would have been nice to have...

As always we take our reviews seriously, constructive advice is helpful. We are a small GUEST HOUSE and not a large Hotel with dedicated reception staff. Friendly, very confortable bed, everyone was very kind to us. We stayed for 4 night. everyday was saturday in blackpool. Thanks to steve and dawm for cleanin our room and take care of us. the room was clean, bathroom clean and confortable , nice size TV. A very good adress to spent your time in blackpool.
