Dear customers Please read this carefully These new owners took over they have a really bad attitude they should not be in business. Previous owner Mr Gandhi had this place looking good and in perfect order customer service was fantastic. These new people took over I believe he's called Mike, watch out for him he takes money from people books it and then cancels it it over the phone. It has happened to me I booked it a paid for it it came on the day and he said to me I didn't book it clearly I've paid for it I will report this person to Trading Standards for stealing money from customers I am not happy with the service and I will call the previous owner which I know they are called Mr Gandhi and explain to them why this has happened. I do not know if Mr Gandhi has sold his place but I will confirm everything with him as I have stayed with Mr Gandhi for many years and had no issues at all.

After a lovely few years staying at the Golden Nile we unfortunately found ourselves on the wrong end of the new man Mike. Emailing to inform us our booking no longer existed 10days before arrival at one of the busiest festivals in Blackpool. Having then spoke to the man on the phone he rudely tried to pass all the blame onto the previous owners. He informed us we were the only people to have been double booked this weekend although having met a few repeat visitors over the same weekend it seems odd we were the only ones not to have been mentioned. Extremely poor customer service and reading some of the other reviews since he took over in September I'm not surprised.

This hotel is also called Cleopatra`s hotel, it is the same owners, it is honestly the worst hotel I have ever seen. It is not a hotel, it should be shut down. We left and did not stay here as it is so bad, the room doors do not lock, it is filthy, the whole place stinks including the owners, I can`t even imagine eating anything in this place. One of the bedrooms they tried to give our group did not even have a bed, it was two mattresses on top of one another. In another room there was no telly but the cable was still there and still switched on, it is a death trap. As I already said no doors locked, the place was an absolute mess, I can`t honestly even begin to explain how bad it is, you would need to see it to believe it. Do not make the mistake we did, which was to think that the reviews probably were worse than the hotel is but it honestly isn`t, its worse than the reviews. This hotel should be shut down immediately and I will be reporting it to the authorities in Blackpool.

Just had a quick break in Blackpool,we only decided to go last minute so just took what we could in terms of bed and breakfast. We stipulated ‘a room with en-suite,breakfast included and parking... The option given was ‘the Richley hotel’ (bare with me!)..it had all we needed and was reasonable in terms of price for a last minute cheap and cheerful break... 24 hours before we were due to set off I had a call...really sorry but there’s been a mistake and we are fully booked! However the hotel next door (golden Nile ) had a spare room which they also own,it was classed as a better room but rather than the £10 extra we would only get charged £5...with 24 hours to go we had no choice so ... Fast forward 24 hours and we are outside the ‘golden Nile’ guess what no parking spot !!! (Remember one of the stipulations was parking )... 50 mins and £10 later we park up and walk to the ‘golden Nile’...the reception area a little tatty but cheap and cheerful is fine with me.. Hmmmm next problem ...ahhh we are really sorry we have double booked! Ooops I mean there’s a problem with the room 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️? But don’t worry we’ve organised you a room over the road in another hotel ???! So over the road we go and get given a cheap and cheerful room decent bed, decent shower no issue there (a little small but fine ) The next morning we have to go back over the road to the golden Nile for breakfast (remember breakfast and bed together another stipulation!) The breakfast room a bit shabby with a leak and bucket in the middle!!! Breakfast was comical what we had was ok but getting it was a little unorganised and chaotic and that’s me being kind... So all in all did I get what I wanted ? Bed ? Yes but not where I booked Breakfast? Yes but Basil Fawlty style Parking ? Nope ... I can do cheap and cheerful all day long but this was cheap with out the cheerful ..

Checked in fir a 2 night stay, checked out again after 2 hours. The place is dirty, in need of a return and nothing as advertised. The var wasnt open, it was cold and there weren't even any lights on. We told the man behind the desk who was not surprised and agreed to refund us. Imagine my surprise to find out I have been charged the full stay, without bring informed this was the case. So now this has to go to the small claims court to try and recover money for services not supplied. Avoid this at all costs as it will ruin your holiday.
