The family room was cosy but had everything needed, the breakfast was great especially the never ending fresh coffee, which was needed to keep me going with kids keeping me busy all day. Communal areas were spotless and fresh, I think replacing the 4 poster with a normal bed would be a good idea as the kids bedroom door opens...

Stayed here for one night on a family outing and the kids along with us really enjoyed the experience at Golden Sands Hotel. The family who live there were very welcoming and the y also have a little bar with a huge flat screen which we watched the football on. Breakfast was nice and the room was good for us...

We stayed for 4 nights at the end Feb/Mar. A lovely welcome from Joanne when we arrived. Owners are very friendly and very down to earth. Hotel very clean, and has a lovely homely feel. Breakfast and service were fantastic!! Superb stay and value for money!! Lovely to have a wee drink or two at the bar before heading out...

Stayed here for two nights over last weekend and had no problems with it whatsoever. Our room on the top floor was en-suite, clean, comfortable, warm and had ample space for belongings etc. The hotel certainly has a personal touch to it as well as a family run feel to it. Had a fantastic stay, we used room 4 the family room comfy bed, lovely shower and toilet!! Spotless and modern furnishings with a great breakfast which catered for the kids. Location spot on, easy walking distance to either South or North shore. The hotel states no parking, however, there is a car park round the back of next street. Already...

Saturday night (01/06/13). On check in, we were kindly upgraded from a "double" to a "family" room at no extra cost due to the hotel being quiet. we stayed at golden sands , it was recommended by a freind , it was lovely and clean and the hosts diane and kieth were very friendly. we enjoyed it so much we went back a month later ,we have recommended this hotel to some friends who are also going to book ,lovely place and lovely people
