So far so good. Read reviews and decided to live on the wild side. We usually stay in The Imperial but thought we would down scale and give this place a chance. Forget reviews only problems so far phone in room does not work and wifi not available in room. Will keep you posted as about to go for dinner...

Stayed as a couple recently in this hotel for 3 nights. We found the staff very nice and polite and helpful, cant rate the bar. there was no entertainment so we drank outside the hotel. Found entertainment in a local hotel that was very good. The breakfast in the Savoy was plentiful and buffet style so you could help yourself,...

Stayed there with my family. The hotel is so out of date it's embarrassing and not worthy of the name savoy. It's like staying in a low rent charity shop. The staff are nice you just feel sorry for them working in a place where the munsters would be at home. The couches in the main bar area were probably...

The hotel did show signs of damp but it is an old building. It has alot of original fratures which gave a lot of character. Parking was...

We booked the hotel to join friends at a charity ball. As it was friends we did;t check the feedback beforehand - lesson learnt! I understand the hotel is "tired" and that's fine, but this place is dirty. From the minute we walked in, the driveways, the steps to the door, the glass, everything was extremely dirty, not just in...

Stayed at the Savoy on a social function, wish I hadn't. The Function itself was first class in a lovely ballroom, food of a decent quality and the bar prices spot on (2.70p per pint & a bottle of merlot £8.20), although they had no large wine glasses behind the bar and had to go and find one. Overheard a...
