Well, travelled from cumbria for a nice weekend with the kids, booked this hotel/pigstye in advance, took the kids to pleasure beach, checked in, was greeted with a cramped, smelly family room, stains everywhere, carpet, curtains, bedding, windows.etc, socket where you put cable for tv hanging off the wall, photoframe (with glass) falling to pieces next to kids bunk beds,...

It's a shame as you can tell back in it's hey Day this place would have been one of thee places to go, but it needs a lot of money ploughing into it to bring it into this century. After reading reviews I was sceptical about coming but all in all it wasn't a disaster but wasn't the best. Check...

Just returned from a weekend break at this hotel where we were half board and used the function rooms. Food in the hotel was good and the staff were very good and helpful. The room I had 347 was at the back of the hotel on the third floor where there was no view and a very small window and...

Had a lovely sea view room. Must have been recently updated. Couple of minor issues but overall very good. Staff were great, food was very good and we were well looked after. There is areas of the hotel needing upgraded. Tram stop just outside. Will be back.

This is a good hotel , The hotel is in need 2 have an overhaul as the decor is a little tired And the lift are old and slow. But the room was very clean tidy and warm. The Breakfast Was very good everything you would want from continental 2 a hearty cooked hot breakfast.

When we arrived we were given an executive suite upon arriving at the room we were horrified to see what we saw and after complaining we were given an alternative room which to our discust we could not open the windows as they were shut solid and the room was like an oven with no cold air circulating

So far so good. Read reviews and decided to live on the wild side. We usually stay in The Imperial but thought we would down scale and give this place a chance. Forget reviews only problems so far phone in room does not work and wifi not available in room. Will keep you posted as about to go for dinner...
