we stayed when we went to the showzam weekend in feb , a truly good event in blackpool ,The the location is good, just off the seafront with onstreet parking , But Applethwaites isnt like it used to be, we was met at the door by a chap who gave the impresson that he didnt want to be there and...

we stayed just for the one night & thoroughly enjoyed it, room was clean with satelite tv, tea/coffee & biscuits, lots of little extras (toothbrushes, wipes etc, bed comfy & breakfast good, very polite owner. very clean, will definately stop again. well worth the extra couple of pounds for superior room.

We stopped at the Applethwaite Hotel recently after finding ourselves stopping in Blackpool for an extra night. We were made to feel very welcome at reception. The lobby and bar area were clean and presentable. Unfortunately, the rooms certainly did not meet our expectations. The beds were so uncomfortable, they felt like you were lying directly on springs. Stayed at The Applethwaite Hotel on 1st and 2nd of August and must say that it was a great stay. Customer Service was great they even ironed our clothes for us. The Hotel was clean and our room was nice although the view at the back could have been better overall we had a great time. I can see why...

Me and my wife stopped at the Applethwaite hotel in July and booked via Laterooms.com. I was very happy with my stay, Customer service was excellent, they even carried our bags to the room for us. The room was nice and clean with plenty of room for a standard room with an en suit which was very clean and tidy....

We booked via late rooms .com and stayed bed & breakfast in a superior room, that was the problem the room was unclean.
