Stayed for one night while visiting family. Sue the owner is very attentive and will do anything to make your stay whatever you want it to be. Very friendly place, clean comfortable room, just one issue with the hot water in the morning for the shower. It wasn't hot, just lukewarm, like they had run out of hot water despite...

We had originally booked at another hotel through hotels.com. We arrived on the Saturday morning and mid morning got a call from the hotel saying our room had a leak and they couldn't accommodate us!? This was 4 hours before check in leaving me and my family stranded. After frantic searching we found this hotel had vacancies. From the moment...

My friend found this place after searching trip advisor and also trawling the Internet for a suitable traditional Blackpool guesthouse. She got in touch with the owner, made the reservation. Unfortunately on arrival the owner wasn't able to be around but we were in the hands of a gentleman who was running the show. Although we had a hiccup as...

Many Thanks, Sue and Graham, for making our birthdays extra special! It was a great pleasure to have spent ten days with you, and to have discovered just how wonderful a truly Northern welcome can be. We arrived as guests, and both feel that we left as friends. What can I possibly add? Our drives to the Lake District were...

After a disastrous start to our trip to Blackpool due to another hotel, I came across this little gem just down the street. After asking if there were vacancies for a family of five, and there were, I was welcomed inside and given condolences about the previous hotel I had booked (apparently I was not the first to have the...

My wife and I found the Holmside House purely by chance, we arrived without reservations on one of the busiest weekends (Illuminations weekend) and right from the start, Sue and Graham made us feel welcome and went out of their way to help us with regards to parking and getting about etc. The room was lovely, clean and beautiful and...
