Nice quiet location just off the main street and a 20 minute walk down the hill to Bowness. Our welcome was warm and friendly. The room was beautifully decorated to a high standard - no cheap or scruffy finishes. The bed was very comfortable and there was a couple of chairs in the room too. The breakfast was delicious! Again,...

Stayed at Jerichos a few weeks ago. It was a lovely guest house with ample parking and in an ideal location. It was quiet and little noise was heard. Cannot comment on the breakfast as we didn't wake up in time! Room was nicely furnished, possibly on the small side as I was expecting a bigger room for the price...

A really relaxing three nights at this lovely guest house just one street back from the high street in Windermere village yet really quiet. Fantastic breakfasts and very comfortable rooms. Everything spotless. My only quibble would be the short lead on the kettle which meant we had to boil it on the floor but that is nitpicking. Excellent!

What an amazing place, the whole property is of a very high standard with a friendly welcome. Topped off by what I have to say is the best breakfast I have ever seen served. Amazing and I will be back.

Quick walk from the train station. Lovely little room with nice touches, quite comfy. Excellent, plentiful breakfast and very accommodating, helpful hosts. Right in the midst of town, yet quiet. Short walk from Bowness, where you can take the ferry over to less-touristy territory for hiking.

Lovely stay in the centre of Windermere. A short walk to the Main Street for pubs and restaurants and 10 minutes from the station and bus station. Very comfortable room and the breakfast was fantastic. Our first trip to the lakes and we will stay here again when we return.

Jerichos totally lived up to expectations. It's no surprise that there are no terrible reviews on Tripadvisor! Jo and Chris, the owners were really nice and extremely helpful (as were the other members of staff). An example was that I was speaking to Chris at checkout when Jo appeared. She had spotted we had left a phone charger in the...

Stayed one night here on top floor. Room was comfortable with solid bed and modern bathroom (with some groovy tiles used). Owners were very welcoming and also providing an amazing breakfast the following morning. A range of pubs, cafes and restaurants are all within walking distance. We took a cruise and train ride which makes for a scenic, relaxing day...

In an area like the Lakes District when the weather is fine, you may require accommodation only for the evening bed and morning breakfast as every day can easily be spent outdoors enjoying the vast natural beauty and villages of the area. It is, however, great to know that if the weather does turn nasty, the accommodation provides a relaxing...
