Are you disabled? do you have trouble climbing stairs? Two weeks ago I spent whole day and a half searching the web to find a Hotel or Guest House in Bowness and Windermere which either had rooms on the ground floor or at best, a lift!! Almost impossible until just before I gave up in despair I found the Hilton...

We recently stayed at the Hilton House for our first trip to the Lakes. We were welcomed immedicately on arrival by the owner, and impressed by his friendly nature. Our room was a great size, and could not fault the cleanliness. It is a perfect location for Windermere and Bowness, with off road parking. The breakfast was well cooked, however...

We arrived earlier than scheduled to be shown to our room. It was exactly as the pictures describe. Perfection. The bed was very large and comfortable. The room was massive and we had so much room it was unreal. The bathroom was a delight and the shower area superb. The breakfast was superb. Anything that we wanted or needed and...

Lovely b&b run by a couple who couldn't have been more helpful. We stayed in a four poster room which was immaculate and spotless; very nice decor. The only downside was that breakfast was served a tad too early and the portions were on the small side, however there was also toast, cereals and youghurts on offer. Overall a gorgeous...

Our rooms were at the front of the house on the 1st floor room No2 was quite small but I knew this when i booked however the...

Room really nice plenty of space, clean and as shown in the picture on the website. Breakfast tasty but not a lot of choice and no sausages on the menu, not what I would call a full English! Hash browns from the freezer etc. Owners polite but did not feel as if they had any interest in the guests def...

Cannot fault the Hotel or its location, being only 1 1/4 miles from Windermere itself, and only about 800 mteres from the Windermere village and good eating establishments ( Francines and Lazy Daisy) All rooms have been very tastefully furnished. Ours, as per the photo above, had a separate writing area. Loads of room, with a very large wardrobe and...

Room was furnished nicely, however there was no wardrobe or simular to place our cloths in. Irritating when having to live out of a suitcase. Breakfast was more or less upto scratch, we got the impression that the owners were a little tight fisted, portions small, personnel extremely scarce, had to repeatedly draw their attention to get a second cup...

This is our second time visiting Hilton House by the lakes. All of the rooms are decorated with originality so we knew that we could be in luck to be put into a different room than before and we were. Amazing ground floor kingsize 4 poster room with fireplace, beautiful wardrobe, en-suite and original fireplace. Tv was useful on the...
