We recently stayed here for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. I read some reviews before i went and thought they were maybe a bit generous but they were spot on. The owners and all the staff were nice and helpful and we really felt nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast menu is amazing and the food itself...

It's the second time we have stayed at St John's Lodge and I cannot praise the place enough. The hotel and rooms are spotlessly clean, modern and very comfortable. The breakfast options are superb with something for everyone and of a great quality. The staff at St John's Lodge are very welcoming and attentive. It's the first place I would...

Brilliant location short walk to Bowness and Windermere. Staff were very friendly, and the room was well presented. The lodge had added extras which included umbrella's (which were a huge bonus and used daily throughout our stay), board games and a mini bar. Would definitely stay again! Thank you!

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights on 18th and 19th February. Communication prior to arrival was brilliant. As I'd expressed we may arrive late for check in, Rich called me to explain parking and what room we would be in, and where our key would be if nobody was around. Parking in the front of the hotel is...

Very nice stay, room slightly hot on the night as radiator wouldn't turn down so had open windows. Staff were all lovely and very helpful with things to do/ places to go in the area. Breakfast was great, and wouldn't happily stay here again when coming to Windermere.

From the outside, this hotel is a bit of a tardis. Greeted with a smile from the lovely Lisa and treated like a friend, not a customer. Very trusting their customers, which is rare these days and nothing is too much trouble. THE ROOM: We stayed in Room 6 and although small, it was very comfortable and very modern in...

I paid a premium price for a room (ground floor No.3) with no sound insulation! We could hear noise from guests above during the night; I do not think it was because the guests were particularly noisy because I heard normal conversations plus the TV; the guests did have a habit of getting up at 5am both nights we were...

Hi Greg. Thanks for the feedback. I acknowledge that you had poor sleep for two nights. I'm very sorry about this. I have tried the room since you left and you're right - we need to improve the soundproofing in the floor of the room above. I'm going to buy sound insulation underlay and thicker carpeting to improve on this...

We got a room at top floor, smelly, small and extremely cold during the night because the landlord stops central heating starting with 22:00. My experience was not pleasant in this place. Breakfast was nice
