This was my first visit to the Lake District and Windermere turned out to be an ideal base for this purpose. Briardene is attractively situated on a quiet and uncrowded road, yet the centre of town is just a few minutes walk around the corner. Head in the opposite direction and you will stroll into busy, but delightful, Bowness within...

Very welcoming and cosy bed and breakfast. Our room was so comfortable and attention to detail was perfect. The bed just nestled into you so you would have a good nights sleep. The breakfasts were amazing. I had a bacon sandwich which I have to say is the best I have tasted. We would return again in the future.😀

Lovely house and lovely people who run it, nice, clean and comfortable rooms. Delicious breakfast, allowed us to stay one night rather than two as we booked very last minute but we will be staying again soon hopefully for two nights! Allowed us to leave car for the day to avoid parking fees in the town, great location, 2 minutes...

Thouroughly enjoyable stay, my only criticism is that we were not there for longer. The room had an en suite, comfortable bed, hot shower and we were provided with towels and dressing gowns etc. Breakfast was very tasty and the proprietors are very, very hospitable. Would definitely reccomend to anyone, of any age.

We stayed in the 4 poster room for 2 nights Fri/Sat. Best bed we've both slept in, so comfortable, wanted to take it home! Nice and quiet location yet Windermere village right on your doorstep. Breakfasts were lovely too. This guest house has a really nice homely feeling and would definitely stay there again.

Breakfast was lovely and plenty of it.David and Sam make you feel very welcome and can't do enough for you whilst there. We will definitely be returning and wouldn't hesitate in recommending the Briardene to anyone.

“We stayed in room 3 the Victorian room which was great for the two of us with a window to the side of the property overlooking the car guest house car park and a very large En Suit. Although we did not see it the Four Poster Bedroom is at the front of the property and looks larger and overlooks the park which would be our preference the next time we visit.”
