We stayed here on the first night of our coast to coast Hadiran's Wall cycling trip. It was easy to find and comfortable. Our host was friendly and welcoming and the cooked breakfast was lovely. Parking was an issue but we were helped to find a suitable place to park and our bikes were kept safely in an outdoor shed...

We stayed here for an endurance event which started nearby. Ian was brilliant from start to finish, answering all my queries in advance and helping sort out our requirements. Then, so helpful when we stayed. The ideal place to stay if you're cycling with secure storage and with Penrith on your doorstep. Nice, clean accommodation and very important, a great...

Excellent place to stay. The owners are just the perfect hosts, very nice people and very helpful. The rooms are nice, modern, homely and comfortable. The breakfast was nice and set you up for the day. We were cycling the coast to coast and the location of the Caledonia was a great location for that. After a hard day cycling,...

What a welcome sight when we turned up at the end of our 1st day on this ride. Great rooms, very comfortable bed and the owners were very hospitable talking us through the various eating options in town. Not sampled breakfast yet as still early. Would strongly recommend

This was pre booked by Macs Adventures for our first night after cycling from Whitehaven. Very pleased to get there, check in and showered. Stairs are steep to the upper rooms, not a criticism but i'm they would ask before they book you into one of those. The local Weatherspoons is a short walk away for evening meal. Sue and...

After a very warm and enthusiastic welcome we were shown to a very comfortable and cosy looking room. The room was very clean and well equipped, with usual water, biscuits, coffee etc. Breakfast was superb and I would not hesitate in re-booking when we are next in the area.
