As the title of the review states, this was my best ever stay at a B&B. Carol and Ged are the most welcoming and friendly of hosts and the whole visit was a pleasure. The cooked breakfast was great - you will find only the finest ingredients are used here! The layout of the dining room with the large dinner...

We recently stayed 2 nights at Honister House in Keswick as our selected base to explore the Lake District. Carole and Ged are wonderful hosts who have really improved our experience through their friendly service, great suggestions for sites to visit, and information about Keswick including restaurant options nearby. The room (British Sea Power room) is a lovely spacious room...

Another long weekend with Carol and Ged in Honister House. We don't bother looking anywhere else when we stay in Keswick. Stay here and you will not be disappointed. It's great for walkers as Ged has huge local knowledge advising guests on routes, how to get there, safety, weather etc., etc. Breakfasts are lovely with large choice available. Everything is...

Once again our stay with Carol and Ged was faultless. Although we didn't get our usual room (our fault we didn't book early enough) we enjoyed or stay as much as the others times. We had the twin room which had everything the others have and the large walk in shower was a welcomed at the end of the long...

We stayed with Carol and Ged at Honister House for the Easter weekend which was also my birthday. My Mum had sent flowers which they put in a vase in my room for my arrival. They also gave all the guests a small Lindt bunny and eggs on Easter day. And on the morning of my birthday a card was...

There are few places in the world that make you instantly feel at home - but arriving into Honister and being greeted by Carol, her cake and a hot cuppa was a level of care and loveliness I'd normally only receive from my mother. Carol and Ged have put great attention into creating an immaculate B&B that emanates genuine warmth....

The room was clean and tidy along with the ensuite, stayed in the double room which was a good sixe, plenty of room to dump bags/boots/excessive clothing etc The location is brilliant, stones throw...
