We stayed here for one night following a Lake District wedding. The hotel is located right in the centre of Keswick at the top of the main pedestrianised street. There is no parking at the hotel, but when I called to ask which car park I should use, I was told to park around Southey Street, where the parking is...

This is a lovely hotel/restaurant but it is a great place to also have a social drink. Beer is well maintained & the bar staff are very friendly, professional with a nothing is a problem attitude. The front of house team on a busy night are not only professional but so friendly with a welcoming manner... all the staff are...

Really lovely lunch on Friday 14 September. I had a fish finger sandwich but not what you would expect, it was beautiful fresh fish in light crispy battered 'fingers', it was obviously home made and absolutely delicious, it was served with a nice varied side salad and a basket of chips. My daughter had an open sandwich of smoked salmon...

As a base for a quick overnight stay in Keswick, Cumbria, The Royal Oak could not be more centrally situated at the end of Main Street, right beside the market square. We booked a small cosy room and it was very much as advertised. The breakfast is absolutely delicious. I had Eggs Benedict and my wife had the full Cumbrian...

Apart from the lack of parking as mentioned in other reviews we could not find fault with the hotel other than the room we stayed in was compact. Everything was lovely and clean and it was ample for one night. The check in check out was effecient and the breakfast was very nice would recomend this hotel with no qualms.

Apart from a lack of parking - which is nothing unusual in a Keswick hotel, we enjoyed our stay. Comfy bed, great breakfasts, great location, friendly staff. Room was a tad small but otherwise ok. Car park is about 5 minutes walk away and is not much of a hardship.

Love Keswick anyway but staying here just makes a well earned rest really special. Service is excellent and it's probably the best place to go in Keswick. Great atmosphere and prices not dilky either. Rooms are very tastefully decorated and missus came home planning a bedroom makeover for us!

Thank you Sheena, for the excellent feedback. Some rooms are a bit on the small side as we're a bit restricted with the alterations we can make given that it's a listed building. Having said that, we do have larger rooms and some really large rooms. If your coming back again just give us a call and we can book...

Hi Sean I'm glad that overall all you enjoyed your stay. Your right, we do have larger rooms. Rooms 14 & 7 are decent sized twins in the same category as your room and then we have the Royal rooms 8 and 2 which we can convert into a twin and these rooms are very spacious. Next time your coming...
