Greystoke House is everything I'd look for in a B&B. I've stayed there during several walking trips and it's a 5-minute walk from the middle of Keswick and all the lovely restaurants and pubs there, and a 5-minute walk from the Fitz Park bus stop (which links it to Penrith railway station via the hourly X4/X5 bus). The single rooms...

I am not one to ever complain about places I have stayed but after coming away so upset from a trip that was meant to cheer up my father and I on the passing of my mother six weeks ago I feel that I must. We booked to stay three nights at Greystoke House on the strength of the reviews...

I am really sorry that you felt you had such a bad stay with us, it was never my intention to upset you or your father and as I explained to you that morning, I was at work so had not been there when the towel rail was taken off the wall. I was at work throughout your stay which...

Excellent value for money. The breakfasts are brilliant-choice, quality, portion size -couldnt be better. The owners are charming, quiet and helpful. The rooms are small but perfectly functional, clean and well organised. The B&B is ideally located-5mins from the town center, the park and the lake, but for me the icing on the cake is that dogs are made just...

Close to Keswick town centre, great base for hikes, excellent hosts, very clean accomodation, wonderful food and all at a great price. I would recommend to anyone. Thank you Mark and Helen for making my trekking trip to the Lake district a most memorable one.

Whether it's a few days walking in the superb Lake District countryside or just for a trip to see the sights, this B&B is amazingly well situated just off the centre of Keswick - literally 2 minutes walk from the heart of the town. The lakeside theatre is also just 5 minutes walk and Derwent water and the varied walks...

As another reviewer noted, this is run very much like a business. It's very efficient, if a little impersonal. The manager gave me all the information I asked for, but didn't engage beyond that. Also, the breakfast time is very rigidly set at 8.30 - other B&Bs will give you more flexibility here. The bed was very comfortable - a...

We have just stayed at this guest house for four nights. It is run by a very friendly and efficient gentleman and I believe his wife/partner, though we never saw her (to our knowledge). We stay in a lot of B&B's each year and this one falls into the catagory that I call "industrial". Very much set up to process...

I am really sorry that you felt your stay wasn't up to scratch, we do not profess to be anything other than a reasonably priced, adequate and clean Bed & Breakfast for guests visiting Keswick, and I am really sorry you felt we were 'industrial'. We do not have the space to offer a guest lounge and as we are...
