This is our fourth trip over the past few years to The Grange and we just love it. The rooms are welcoming and a nice touch to have a complimentary bottle of water, if I was to be critical, maybe two bottles would be better as most rooms are occupied by couples. That aside everything else is lovely. Our room...

Last minute impromptu trip to the Lakes had us find this little gem of a place, booked one of the executive rooms which on first view was the tinniest of a let down due to having no bath, I later read the spec and this is mentioned so no complaints there. The room proportions were fine as were decor and...

We've stayed at the Grange several times now and love going there. The individually decorated rooms are all beautifully furnished with comfortable beds, great bathrooms and often great views of the mountains and lakes. Breakfast is a highlight with a good range of options from a full cooked to eggs Benedict (my favourite), fresh coffee and porridge. The homemade jam...

Hi Barry - Thanks for your feedback - we will get on to the shower situation. As you mention - all our rooms are different. We would encourage our customers to give us a call direct to have a chat about which rooms are available and we will always advise which ones have bath and which have shower ( a...

We stayed 3 nights at The Grange in the downstairs Room 1. It is a beautiful room, lots of space and a sofa and other chairs, more like a suite than a room, and very tastefully decorated. It was very comfortable and with nice views. The breakfasts are delicious with lots of tempting choices. We were welcomed by Mark and...

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights in March. The staff could not have been more pleasant or helpful. Any minor issues were dealt with swiftly and in a positive way. A bath would have been a bonus but we booked their best room with superb views and the shower was an acceptable compromise. Thoroughly recommended. The breakfasts...

Thanks very much Stewart. I am very happy to pass on my recipe (for which I have to thank my Mum, Brenda) and jam making tips to anyone staying with us! I'll put a special jar to one side for you for your next visit. (remind me!) Sally

What a little gem of a place. The Grange is delightful. We loved this B&B. Everything about it was just right. The room was lovely, very modern and cosy. The breakfast was very nice and tasty. We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we walked in The Grange. You had your breakfast in a lovely conservatory over...

We had a 3 night stay to celebrate husband's 50th birthday. We asked for a room with a nice view, and got one. Very nice friendly welcome on arrival. Room and bed very comfortable (although having the sink in the room was a little unusual, but not a major problem). Breakfast and service both excellent. It was a nice touch...

My partner and I hadn't booked a room. We read the reviews and decided to drop in. Mark showed us 3 rooms to choose from. Both mark and sally were very friendly hosts. The rooms were spacious and very clean. Would definitely return and reccommend to friends.

My wife and I stayed here for a 2 night break in mid November for our anniversary. We arrived to a very friendly reception, and the staff were all polite, helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The hotel was spotless throughout, we stayed in room 4, which was tastefully decorated, and had fantastic views across Catbells and the adjacent hills....

We went here for our anniversary and were very impressed. The breakfast was exceptional as was the service. The staff were helpful and friendly. Would go here again in the blink of an eye. We found the rooms clean and spacious. Location was good but walk back from town requires some uphill walking. I would expect that to be usual...
