We had the suite (Room 2) which was fantastic. Spacious room, lovely big shower, comfy leather settee with good choice of DVDs to watch IF the weather turned nasty - which it didn't! Ideally situated for easy access to the town, lake, theatre etc etc. Would highly recommend & will certainly stay here again.

Fabulous stay of two nights in room No 7, very clean with lovely big bathroom. We were asked to complete a questionnaire type form to request which items we would like for breakfast. Fruit, yoghurt, cereal etc was buffet style and then we were served with our wonderful personalised breakfast - delicious. The host is extremely friendly. Would highly recommend.

Quite simply this accommodation is fantastic not only in price and location but Paul the owner is one of the most accommodating genuinely nice people you could wish to meet. I rang in advance and asked for sum roses and bubbles to be in the room for our arrival which was a simple "yes no problem" conversation. The rooms are...

We recently stayed at the strathmore guest house with family. We were made to feel welcome on arrival and was given good info on where to eat and visit. The rooms were lovely and clean and breakfast was excellent. Would highly recommend and will definitely return.

We stayed here for 2 nights on our way back to London from Scotland. So glad we did, it was just great. Our room was small but comfortable with the most amazing shower. Also plenty of tea and coffee and even wine glasses in the room which was a nice touch. During our one full day here we drove to...

Stayed two nights and loved it. Paul was extra helpful when we thought we had lost our passports. Was a harrowing couple of hours. The room was beautifully clean with a lovely view over the town and church. Breakfast sensational. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Strathmore - close to more touristy towns but way nicer. Thank you Paul!

The B&B is in a perfect location for walking, shopping, and general sight seeing. It even has private parking - a huge plus in this densely settled popular destination. Paul was very helpful in suggesting beautiful walks & scenic drives.

Love this place! Clean comfortable rooms and a monster good breakfast! All the basics are great, nothing fancy - for example - no kippers! What they do is excellent and things like wine glasses in the room, boot trays, a drying room are so beneficial to the traveller. Close to town and with a great couple running it, this place...

The B&B is a short 3 mins walk to the city square. There are lots eating places and shops in the square. We were fortunate to secure room #2 which is spacious and overlooks the street. Car parking is at the rear of the building. You have to leave the front door and take a short walk around the block...
