Lovely people. Lovely large house in v convenient place for town. Good-sized, clean airy rooms with comfortable beds. A short walk to lots of pubs & restaurants etc. Organic and fair trade produce for breakfast which was delicious and super generous. Would go again.

Stayed here in a couple of rooms with family. Amanda couldn't have been more helpful. A superb breakfast set us up for the day and comfy bed in the clean bedroom ensured a good nights sleep. Also had great knowledge of the area, recommended a superb restaurant also. We will be back, thanks from Meryll and the boys

We stayed here for the second time this year and again our hosts Amanda and Ross were welcoming and friendly. The room - spotless; the breakfast - as good as any in the Lake District; the location - perfect between the town and the park/shops. The weather on weekend we stayed was 24 hour torrential rain which meant the river...

This is lovely guest house in a great location. My most recent stay was on Friday 20th November, with a mate, as a base for climbing Helyvellen , the next day. I have also stayed here a few times in the past, and I find Amanda and Ross to be great hosts. They are so welcoming and professional. On this...

Our 2nd stay here. Amazing hospitality from Amanda and Ross, from the offer of a cuppa on arrival, to the daily cupcakes in the room. Rooms are homely-some with lovely views of the beautiful scenery. Breakfasts are fab-my favourite is the french toast with bacon and maple syrup (don't knock it until you've tried it!!) There is a different 'special...

Great guest house in an excellent location, within walking distance to town centre. Lovely park situated close by for a nice walk. Amanda was a lovely host providing us with tea and lovely homemade cakes on arrival. Rooms excellent and spotlessly clean, nice little touches like wine corker and glasses as well as tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was...

Stayed here for two nights with some friends. Very pleasant stay. Our room (5) was very spacious, bright and airy with en-suite toilet and large walk in shower. Our friends' room was a bit smaller although the view from their window out over the hills was quite fabulous. Parking could be a slight problem as the surrounding streets are quite...

Stayed here for one night while visiting the area and we were greeted by Amanda who made us feel at home. She even made us a cuppa tea when we arrived which we enjoyed with a cupcake each that she had baked for us. The room was very nice, nice view of the mountain from our window and it's a...

I thought we'd found the best Guest House in Keswick the last time we visited in March this year (Beckside - see my previous reviews) but the Dolly Waggon (DW) certainly gives it a run for its money. From the moment we arrived Amanda and Ross were welcoming even offering to move their car to allow us to park up...
