This is a great no nonsense B&B. The rooms are spotless and comfortable all thes things would put it right up there. What makes it is Alex's breakfasts food all sourced from a local organic farm and while you are eating it Peter talks....... But he is a fund of local knowledge regarding great walks an the best restaurants. He...

We just spent four nights at The Salisbury House. I would highly recommend Room 3, as the light and views from the room are outstanding, as is the size and comfort. We travel frequently and also felt the price to be a great value. Peter's input was invaluable, and he adeptly tailored his recommendations for hiking, dining, etc. to our...

We have just returned after a 3 night stay. Had a fabulous time. We have stayed in many B and B's in Keswick, and this is by far the BEST one we have ever stayed in!! The room was absolutely perfect, immaculately clean and very comfortable. Peter, one of the owners, has gone above and beyond what we would have...

And finally Peter the host was very welcoming and had a great knowledge of the area and walks for us to do. We...

Thank you for your review Tom. It means a lot that you go home and still find the time to write about us online. Much appreciated. You both contributed to a lovely atmosphere in the house over Easter and your charming dog won everyone over too. Hope your journey home was a good one after your early start. Very best...

Well, this will be my 3rd review of this establishment. The previous 2 were great and this one could very well top them all. I am biased in these reviews as we have only ever stayed in this guesthouse and after 4 fantastic visits, I can honestly tell you that my partner and I will only ever stay at here....

Peter was the perfect host for our three night stay over Easter. He was full of really useful local knowledge and so accommodating of our little dog Ted. The room was small but cosy and spotless with a great power shower - nice little touches include tea and coffee in the room with biscuits and a great DVD secelction for...

We had a wonderful stay at the Salisbury Guesthouse. The room was comfortable and breakfast was delicious. Peter provided wonderful guidance on things to see and do in the area. The guesthouse is located close to the center of town and a few minutes walk from the lake.
