This was our second stay at Appletrees. Again it didn't disappoint. We stayed in room 2 on 31st October-2nd November , which overlooks Hope Park and Derwent water and you can also see Cat Bells from this room. When we stayed back in May, we stayed in Room 6 which was a little bit bigger and much comfier bed again...

We stayed here as a last minute booking. The room was clean and comfortable and the owner very welcoming. The en suite was small but you don't expect a full bathroom at a b&b. Breakfast was freshly cooked and very tasty, could have maybe done with an extra sausage and bacon but you are welcome to all the toast and...

We had a nice one night stay here. Sue arranged for a guest bed to be put into our room for our 6 year old. The breakfast was very traditional and nice. We all had a brilliant nights sleep. Room ensuite although shower kept going hot and cold. Decor was somewhat dated but that's not a problem at all. Sue...

With a south-facing room the views over Derwentwater are great. Friendly welcome, comfortable and clean room, and a good breakfast. Reasonably priced for Keswick, and for the B&B's that face Crow Park. Very happy with our stay.

I don't get the past negative reviews! Sue was a lovely hostess and made us very welcome. Room was spacious, well thought out and spotlessly clean. Good breakfast and a quality cafetiere of coffee. A beautiful house with lovely views and nicely placed just the shortest stroll out of the centre so excellent sleep quality. Perfect. Will certainly stay again.

We were here for couple nights and received a warm welcome and excellent room with views to die for. I like the friendly but not invasive approach here and offered in depth local knowledge when required. The only other time I have had such a room with a view was Canada

We have just returned from Appletrees (4*) guest house stayed 4th and 5th October, not sure how it deserved the high rating. The premises are clean and tidy, the welcome is superficial with no geniune warmth. On arrival you are asked to fill out your breakfast menu with a tick box for answers, we requested 2 slices of bacon (top...

Comfortable room with good views as described. Meagre 'Hospitality Tray' in room, not replenished on second day. Breakfast good, but another slice of bacon or another sausage would have been appreciated! The owner is polite, says 'all the right things' but the impression given is that it's just a job - no warmth evident.

Stayed here with my wife for. 2 night midweek break, last minute booking through, Keswick Tourism website, quoted £144.00. All though I've said it was disappointing, the Appletrees is very clean, but could do with updating, and Sue was very nice, but didn't see her husband. We had booked room 7, which was at the back, with views of Skidaw,...
