For the last 6 weeks we have visited this place for Sunday lunch and once through the week. Not a fault in sight, food is clearly cooked and straight out - piping hot and fresh. I am wondering if these people visited the same place as us??!! Maybe they are delayed in rating the previous blue bell?? We have found...

Stayed for 2 nights in this hotel and pub and can say it was so brilliant.... arrived in the pub to find a good selection of sam Smith's ales( which is what you get in a Sam Smith's pub) and a good selection of food... the food...

We've made a few visits to the Heversham of late (just for drinks) and so far have enjoyed every one. Yes they've been understaffed at odd moments but in general we've found everything to be fine. There's a fine selection of beers and lagers (the organic lager is particularly good according to my charming and witty wife), the building refurbishment...

The hotel has been recently renovated to a great standard. Staff are great and the food and service were excellent. The food is traditional pub grub (all drinks are Samuel Smiths) and very good value. The setting is lovely and there is plenty of excellent space to sit outside, although it was a little chilly when we were there.

After watching the extensive re furb work we had hoped for a better experience for lunch when we visited. A pub with lots of keg beer pumps but no hand pulled beer is not going to attract people, surely Sam Smiths realise this? Lunch menu was uninspiring but clearly focused on value meals. We won't be returning.

Stayed here when visiting my daughter. Immaculate room, really lovely staff. Fab food and drinks at excellent prices. Landlady and her hubby are two of the nicest (fellow Yorkshire) folk you could wish to meet - nothing was too much trouble! This will not be our last visit xx

Reluctant to visit this place due to bad reviews about the "Blue Bell" but after the beautiful renovation we gave it a chance. Perfectly cooked food, very clean establishment. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. Such a pleasant environment! Will definitely return!!
