We found the station Inn to be set in a fantastic location with some great outdoor features such as beer garden, mini golf and a adventure playground. The bar had a friendly atmosphere and would highly recommend the food. First impressions of the room where good but found the noise from the room above and machines in the laundry room...

We've eaten at the station Inn as a family on many occasions, it is consistently excellent, in approx 10 visits over several years we have never had a bad meal, both adults and kids meals are great, kids meals in particular are well priced, staff are always great, I would recommend a visit, wouldn't like to specifically recommend a meal...

On a very brief visit to the lakes, needed somewhere to stay, found randomely on internet- station inn, Oxenholme. It`s very convenient for the train station(5 minutes walk),the staff are very friendly and informal;the room very clean, with coffee and tea making facilities and an amazingly comfortable bed.But the food is really amazing- an incredible choice, mostly locally produced ingredients, and absolutely...

We stayed overnight. The accommodation was fine; the room huge (perfect for families), we had a giant bed and 2 singles, free tea and coffee making facilities. But the jewel in the crown was the food in in the main Inn. The menu offered a great selection and we noticed that the specials today were different from last night -...

Recently went for lunch but have been several times before. Fish and chips is superb with huge chips, great choice of deserts which the banoffee pie is the best I've tasted. Lovely warm atmosphere with kids and dogs very welcome. I've also walked from the station and I'd say it's about 8 mins which is up a steep hill but...

Was very disappointed again with the food, we went New Year's Eve and thought it was maybe because they were busy getting ready for nye party, so gave it another go for a family 18th birthday meal and again food wasn't up to standard not sure if chef has changed but was always very good, service was very slow and...

Finding ourselves quite hungry at Oxenholme Station recently, we spotted a sign which suggested that the Station Hotel was but 5 minutes along the road. It's way up a very steep hill and it took us, aged though we are, nigh on 20 minutes. The welcoming barman said that he could do it in five minutes, but then he was...

Fantastic hotel in stunning location, managed by lovely people. Spacious rooms, and good value as it included breakfast. We stayed overnight, and met family for dinner in the hotel. Food was excellent and service is from real people who interact with diners rather than automatons. Great evening.

This is located up a huge, winding hill from the station, but there was transport up available.... thank goodness!!! We arrived on a busy Sunday afternoon. The pub and restaurant were full of locals and the joint was hoppin'. Barman was also hotel reception so we had to wait a bit until he was free - then he took us...
