Great place to stay when visiting this area, good pubs (try the Hawkshead bitter at the Kings Arms) and restaurants - we liked the Queens Head the best. It was cold outside but inside the house and rooms were really cosy. Fire burning in the lounge, complimentary drinks available and the whole property beautifully decorated. Mark and Emma were excellent...

We were visiting the Lakes and decided upon Hawkshead - a quaint little village and an ideal place to stay with plenty of eateries and pubs. Parking is an issue with only a pay and display available on the outskirts so we were very impressed with the free parking on site. The building is quite impressive with 5 en-suite rooms...

We are here at the moment - myself, my son and the dog. Firstly, Hawkshead is very dog friendly, everywhere (shops, pubs, cafes -except the chocolate factory) welcomes dogs which was fantastic for us as our dog is very needy! Mark and Emma are very welcoming and are running a truly fabulous b&b. The rooms are tastefully decorated, there is...
