We booked despite reading mixed reviews. I would like to start by saying our experience was very positive and we would definitely go again. All the negative comments have some validity I suppose, but you just have to make your mind up whether they are likely to bother you. We got a good deal through Booking.com, so for us it...

Moss Grove Organic has good sized clean rooms and bathrooms & is very conveniently located in the heart of Grasmere. Given that the owner is absentee & there is no resident host having instead 3 employed gents who cover daytime & evening shifts it is difficult to be sure whether it actually is a B&B or more of a serviced...

Firstly, Moss Grove Organic is not a hotel, it is a bed & breakfast, having got that out of the way Moss Grove is situated in the heart of the beautiful village of Grasmere. My wife and I spent 3 nights in the Moss Grove, it is priced competitively compared with other hotels in the area, however, it is not...

I booked this as a last minute treat for my partner's birthday. The location is fab and central for everything but this is not a hotel! Our room was comfortable and after a days walking the spa bath was a real treat. The breakfast was fine for me with its different fruits, ham and cereals but all my partner wanted...

Spent 5minutes waiting to check in whilst being told about all the problems with rooms being double booked etc. room was of a good standard but be advised that Room 5 had a massive 4 poster bed that people of small stature or poor athleticism would struggle to climb into....

There are a number of reviews on this site about car parking, yes it is tight, yes I nearly bumped another car but did it affect my stay..No. There is also comments about breakfast, for pity sake the breakfast is an abundance of lovely food, fresh meats, Cumberland sausages, little bread things, olives, fresh bread, etc, etc. If you want...

Out stay at this hotel was lovely! Grasmere is a great place to visit and this guesthouse is a gem! We had one night in the ground floor suite which has a fabulous outdoor hot-tub (as it often does in the Lakes it was raining but the hot-tub is sheltered, very private and really nice in contrast with the rain)....
