Lovely place to stay, with a large bathroom & walk in shower. Mike made us feel very welcome & served a lovely breakfast. Our room 6. had very good views of the fells around Grasmere village, which is only a 10-15 minute walk from the B&B.

Stayed here in October 2016. I picked it because it was the least expensive on booking.com. It was a great place to stay very modern decor, very clean, friendly staff, fantastic location and a really good breakfast. Will say again. Thanks for making it a comfortable stay.

Stayed here on our C2C walk. There were five of us and we stayed in 3 rooms. All rooms were modern, fully stocked, and extremely clean. Mike (the owner) was gracious and helpful. He dried our boots (which was no small task), helped with dinner plans (the White Swan which is nearby was excellent), and cleaned our laundry. We were...

Visited this B&B whilst walking the C2C. This was one of our rest days so we stayed at the Chestnut Lodge for two nights. Host were very accommodating and offered to do our laundry for a very reasonable ENG7.00. Rooms were comfortable and warm and well laid out and from what I could tell recently renovated. A short walk to...

We stay at Chestnut Villa in Grasmere whenever we are walking in the Lakes. All rooms enjoy a touch of class which you would normally only expect to find in expensive high-end hotels. Each room we have stayed in has always been thoughtfully designed, has been comfortable and a pleasure to spend the night in. The bathrooms too are always...

I have been to the Chestnut Villa several times now and each time you receive a warm welcome from Mike, it is a family run B & B with his Mum Kath, they are both very friendly even the young lady who serves the breakfast, you feel as if you're at home, my son and his partner had been there...

Booked in late at night and was very warmly welcomed. Room and whole place was spotless. Can't wait to go back and we recommend a trip to tweedies bar! Otherwise you will think grasmere is a ghost town at night! Breakfast was really good and variety was excellent. We have paid twice the price and had lesser quality.

Myself and my daughter have just returned from a two night stay. It was our second visit and we will definitely be returning. This visit, we were in room 6, which is situated at the rear of the property on the first floor, with a beautiful view from the window. We were informed that it had been converted from two...
