We had cycled around Coniston. We were in need of a drink and a rest. The Crown was ideal for us. Clean and welcoming with a great range of drinks. We did not eat but the menu looks great. We were adequately served but tge young helpful staff. Yes I would return and recommend.

We stopped here for lunch during a hike. The burger and the curry we had were ok and we enjoyed them in the sun on the front yard of the pub with some nice local cumbrian ale. Friendly and attentive staff and the place located right in the middle of such a pretty town made it a great moment.

11 of us visited for Dinner on Thursday the 20th of April. My Sister-in-Law had salad from the main menu, but when it was served it came as a starter sized portion. Complaining to the waitress, she advised that it had been "put through" as a starter, even though this did not appear as an option on the menu and...

We stayed for one night in April. The accommodation was ok, the restaurant also with food portions were large but average. Our desserts were not cooked properly with the pastry wet and basically unedible, we mentioned it but it didn't seem to surprise the waiter. The rooms were clean but the noise from the bar lasted until 12 which made...

We stayed for 2 nights mid March and had an excellent stay. Our room was clean with ample space for us and our dog to spread out in. Checking in and out was quick. Breakfast was very good with choices of cereals, fruit, with a hearty cooked breakfast. As we had our dog we were able to eat in the...

Stopped here for a pint and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. I asked the girl behind the bar if she knew of a disused railway walk that starts in Coniston and she said she didn't as it was only her second day but she was really friendly and tried to help. I sat down with my drink...

The food was exceptional value for money. When you pay it may seem a bit expensive, but when your meal is served, you understand why. The portions are ample. The decor is very nice, very clean and the staff are wonderful, friendly and extremely helpful. We had a very nice meal and a great experience. Thank You.

Stayed here for one night in February, easy check inn, room good size clean and tidy, tv, tea and coffee etc all there, sounded like we were above the Kitchen area so you could hear the Kitchen fan come on but this seemed to go off about 8pm so no problem for us. The breakfast was excellent good choice of...
