My family & I stayed in one of the self catering apartments for 4 nights and had a very lovely holiday. The unit is exceptionally clean and comfortable. It is very well equipped and is ideally situated for Coniston village. We found the owners friendly and welcoming. We will be returning. Highly recommended!

This b&b is situated in easy walking distance to the lake and the village. The host was very nice and provided us a warm welcome, even despite the fact we were way to early then we had arranged. The view from the Hotel of the hills is amazing! The breakfast was also very good and the staff was very friendly...

We decided after many years of staying 4 and 5 star hotels, paying a fortune only to be disappointed with the exprerience, to try a bed and brekfast in the lakes. I can honestly say it was wonderful. The Bluebird is situated within easy walking distance for the village, which has everything you need and also easy access to Coniston...

What a lovely guest house. We booked this for myself and my partner and another couple who had never stayed in Coniston before. Always a nerve racking time when you recommend somewhere and take charge of the accommodation. We were not disappointed. Coniston itself was lovely as always..if not a little drizzly and misty..nothing new there. The owners of bluebird...

Never again. As a 26 year old going on (what was supposed to be) a fun, short trip with friends, never did I expect to be spoken down to and treat like a child. The lady owner was rude, unhelpful and had bad attitudes towards myself and my friends; at one point we even overheard her making sarcastic remarks! When...

Had a night here mid walk from Windermere to Ulverston. Friendly welcome and good breakfast. Lashings of hot water for baths and useful info re the attractions(?) of Coniston. Owner clearly knows areas and routes well so would be able to give advice.

We were delighted to have found this place to stay in the lakes. The hosts were mega-friendly and showed us to our accommodation for our short 3 night B&B visit to the area. The room was clean, warm and well appointed. They advised us on local walks, things to do, places to visit and restaurants to eat and drink in....

We visited the the lake district in September on our way home from Cornwall and returned to the Bluebird Lodge for 3 nights, it is really a great place to stay. Paul and Debbie are good hosts and make you very welcome. Breakfast as you like it, a good menu. Short walk to village in the evening for good food....

We visited Bluebird lodge in September 2016. We had booked it months ago, and had paid a deposit. A few nights for a well deserved little holiday, away from work. Last time we visited was with the previous proprietor, a few years ago, and we had an excellent stay. This time was our first time staying with the new owners....
