We were delighted to have found this place to stay in the lakes. The hosts were mega-friendly and showed us to our accommodation for our short 3 night B&B visit to the area. The room was clean, warm and well appointed. They advised us on local walks, things to do, places to visit and restaurants to eat and drink in.... More

We visited the the lake district in September on our way home from Cornwall and returned to the Bluebird Lodge for 3 nights, it is really a great place to stay. Paul and Debbie are good hosts and make you very welcome. Breakfast as you like it, a good menu. Short walk to village in the evening for good food.... More

We visited Bluebird lodge in September 2016. We had booked it months ago, and had paid a deposit. A few nights for a well deserved little holiday, away from work. Last time we visited was with the previous proprietor, a few years ago, and we had an excellent stay. This time was our first time staying with the new owners.... More

I stepped in after a wet and long walk. The proprietors are very friendly and accommodating and offered to dry my wet gear straightaway. The full English breakfast was lovely and the dining area has a wonderful view. The lodge is more like a motel than an Inn and the rooms are not well sound insulated but the bed is... More

We only stayed here for one night but would definitely return. We were warmly greeted on arrival, shown around, and then to our room (room 4) which is a lovely big room with great views, and room for a sitting area with settee, tv, tea & coffee etc. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Can't... More

Stayed here end of July whilst taking part in Lakeland 100. Owners couldn't do enough for me and made me feel welcome thank you. Room had a massive bed with tea and coffee facilities. My only issue was with the bathroom but I guess it's more to do with me not being used to a saniflow system which is what... More

Very quiet at night didn't hear anything! Can't say a bad word. Definitely coming back and will recommend to family and friends!

A comfortable and well-run bed and breakfast in spacious grounds with plenty of parking. A comfortable and wide bed and good bathroom provide rest for weary walkers or overnight lodgers. Eating in the gorgeous breakfast room gives wide views of the busy birds feeding in the garden as well as of the mountains overlooking Coniston.
