Stayed at Hundith Hill for a family birthday and was very impressed. The grounds are lovely and the staff were very attentive all weekend. Drinks were reasonably priced for a remote hotel at about £4 per pint and £4 for a glass of Prosecco. For my evening meal I had the fish cakes to start that were served with a...

To be clear this is a positive review. I went with over 20 family/friends for Sunday lunch and sat in the function room with fantastic views of the North Eastern fells. The food was good and the staff helpful. The homemade bread and syrup sponge were great and the stuffed mushroom starter was delicious. At £17 per head for 3...

Had a lovely homely stay and this very comfy hotel will be back. We had dinner last night which was a bar meal but well cooked and lovely wine to compliment it all. Certainly worth staying especially if your visiting the lovely Cockermouth

The meal was booked to be seated at 5pm, when we arrived there were people everywhere and no staff around to take coats or even names. After 20 minutes i walked into the restaurant area where there was a member of staff so i asked what is happening. I was adivsed that someone will be calling us for dinner shortly...

Thank you for your feedback, however can I please make a few comments. 1. If you were so unhappy with the service, why not say on the day? 2. You sent us a threatening email which basically said "if we do not receive compensation we shall go to trip advisor" 3. You were asked if you enjoyed your meal..... by...

We booked a table for 4, for Boxing Day. When we arrived we were very supprised how quiet it was, perhaps it was just because Boxing Day fell on Monday this year. The meal was very nice, but the menu had changed completely from the booklet we got when we first booked (weeks ago) It would have been nice if...

We stayed here after our Christmas party, which was a great success! The reception staff were warm and welcoming and showed us to our lovely room with gorgeous views. Full English breakfast in the morning cooked to order which was delicious. The staff were very friendly and nothing was to much to ask. Exceptional value for money! Will definitely be...
