Lovely hotel with views over the Cumbrian mountains. Scenic lawned gardens with outside seating area. Pleasant and comfortable room with all facilities. Attractive bar area with friendly staff. Enjoyed the evening meal with a varied menu choice. Car park. Will certainly stay again.

We were glad we stayed at the Brought on Craggs Hotel. It's a lovely building, with a nice position. Plenty of parking space to the side of the hotel, and a genuinely warm welcome when we arrived. The room was also a pleasant surprise. Great size, high ceilings, clean and everything was in good working order. Lovely view out of...

We stayed here just for one night as a quick break. The hotel was clean, comfortable with friendly staff and good unpretentious home cooking. We loved the stunning view from our room and were just surprised that the hotel was not more full - as it's in a great setting on the edge of the lakes and very good value....

Lovely quite location within nice grounds with peacocks walking around. Friendly creating. We were shown to our room, which was very disappointing, small, with Tiny skylight window, cobweb, no light over the dressing table and only a few packs of English tea & coffee. Tiny shower room unfortunately the toilet paper holder was off the wall and had been left...

Stayed here with a friend, had originally booked it for me and my boyfriend but he couldn't get the time off, luckily the bed was big enough that we were not bothered about sharing. The location is good, and the views are beautiful. We enjoyed dinner in the hotel and loved sitting by the fire in the bar. Breakfast the...

We stayed at Broughton Craggs just last week and we had a lovely time. We stayed in room 11 and the view was possibly one of the best I have ever had from a hotel room in this country. The massive square bay window overlooking the garden, village, church and magnificent hills was a joy to wake up to and...

A family member made a booking for us here, as we all had a wedding nearby. The staff were friendly, but the place was a bit tired. You felt like you were staying in someone's house as opposed to a hotel. It was lacking the mod cons of other hotels. From what I saw, it was clean. The view out...

Great location and building, which fails to deliver on aspects that have become norms. Food was poor, in two days I failed to see anything that might be described as fresh. inconsistency in staffing approach, and when I challenged my final bill- clearly communication between shifts and staffing failed.

This is the type of hotel I like, a bit like a family country house, The grounds are attractive and well maintained and the view from the dining room is wonderful. It faces South and has tables and chairs so guest can sit out with their drinks ( a couple took their breakfast out. Peacocks are everywhere and they strut...
