We have just returned from a 5 night stay at Lacet House, and we were delighted with it. Ideal central location, spacious/very clean room, delicious breakfasts and fantastic hosts. We will most definitely return and recommend it wholeheartedly.

Fantastic location in the heart of beautiful Ambleside. Spacious, comfortable room for 2 adults and 3 children. Delicious cumbrian breakfast. Catherine and Graham most welcoming, super hosts and accomodating to our requirements with small children. Our son (9 years old) got extra hash browns so he was totally sold! Will definitely be returning!

Very good B&B in a central position in Ambleside. Positives: Located in the centre of Ambleside with on-site parking Free wi-fi (but rather slow and not available in the rooms at the top of the house) Comfortable beds - bigger than a standard 4'6" UK double Pleasant, modern decor in the dining room Graham and Catherine are very friendly and... We stayed for 3 nights as a surprise for my partners birthday and it was wonderful. We had room 1 (4 poster room) and it was lovely. We couldn't fault anything. Graham and Catherine are 2 wonderful hosts. We will definitely be back.

It is still the same charming B&B, Catherine and Graham are fabulous hosts who offer great hospitality, fabulous breakfast with an abundance of choice in a superb location. We were given the ground floor four poster bedroom to save me climbing... More

This was our first time staying in a Guest House rather that a hotel and both the misses and I thought it was great. Absolutely no bad words to say about Lacet House at all. The hosts, Graham and Catherine, were very accommodating and looked after us all weekend. The full Cumbrian breakfasts for myself in particular were a real... More

3 of us stayed for 3 nights over the New Year in the 1st floor family room (No 2), which came with it's own built-in ensuite. It wasn't the biggest room we've ever stayed in but we only needed it for sleeping in and it was perfectly adequate for that. The Good: - Just a few minutes walk to shops,... More

This was our second New Year in Ambleside and our second stay at Lacet House which is perfectly situated for a day out walking or a potter around town. Catherine and Graham are welcoming, friendly and provide an excellent breakfast with a good veggie option. Our room was warm, cosy and comfortable with lovely soft bedding. We'll definitely be staying... More
