Travelling as a party of two couples, we had a very comfortable two night stay at Lake House. Our room was very clean and tastefully furnished. The bed was gloriously comfortable- perfect for a good night's sleep after a day's walking. The bathroom was clean with lovely large fluffy towels. However, our bathroom did not have a window and the...

Room 10 was lovely, right at the top of the house with the window in the apex overlooking the lake, and a four poster bed. Staff were great and the breakfast very high quality local food. Seemed to have a real "can do" quality about it - such as a great bottle of wine (nearly at cost price) available as...

We had a brilliant staying. It's a lovely BnB property set on a small hill with a great view of waterhead bay. Friendly, chatty and helpful people run the property with a smile on. Full English breakfast at its best and freshly cooked. Continental breakfast was also available and the choice was great. Want something extra? Just look to the...

She couldn't have booked anywhere better Room was spotless, bed was huge, shower was great Breakfast was the best set up for a days walking in the woods Location was really good, pretty much 20 minutes in the car from anywhere, and ideal for any novice walkers like us, but...

Myself and my girlfriend were here for two nights in Feb 2017, we also stopped here in 2016 for three nights. Both times were exactly what we expected, and then some. We booked direct the 2nd time and were given a complimentary bottle of prosecco, which was a really nice gesture. Brilliant friendly staff, if you ever need anything just...

We stayed in the hideaway rooms. Clean, modern room. Good service. Tea/coffee/hoy chocolate in the rooms with snacks which were replenished. We stayed in room 20 which doesn't have lake views (some do) but was better than 18 as you had to walk past that room to get to ours. We had a few ramblers go past our window but...

Just spent three days in this delightful hotel. We had a deluxe room with a lovely view overlooking the lake and fells. One of the most comfortable beds I've slept in. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Staff were attentive and friendly. Definitely come back.

We absolutely loved it here and definitely want to go back. We're a young couple and were worried that there may be some snobbery towards us but the staff were lovely (we arrived New Year's Day so their warm welcome was even more appreciated). We ordered room service late on a cold night and they were still so chirpy then....
