I have done around 75 trainee events at Brathay. And took my wife to stay in the lodges... The views are amazing, the venue is stunning, the staff are more friends than work colleagues right up to the CEO. I have nothing but respect for Brathay... The accommodation ranges from basic for student courses right up to the impeccable Lodges.....

I stayed at Brathay whilst on a training course. The rooms where perfect with comfy beds, heating, kettle, TV and a good shower. There is free wifi access I'm the room and around the site. There is a great view of the lake from the room that I was in. The food in the canteen was delicious and fresh.

We stayed in a Wansfell room as part of an organised swimming tour. The room had been newly refurbished and was very nice and comfortable. The setting is great with views of Windermere and just a short walk to the Lake edge. We had one dinner which was excellent, a freshly cooked curry buffet with plenty for all. Breakfasts were...

Stayed here for one night last week as found it via booking.com and was very happy with our choice. The grounds and building itself are fantastic; well laid out and a lot of space, especially outdoors, where they have several large picnic tables for you to enjoy the views; there is also a well maintained path to the waters edge...

Huge beautiful grounds in a lovely area. The room we had was huge, a little dated on the outside but thoroughly modern within. The breakfast was very filling and there was a lot of choices. I would prefer an earlier check in as we were only staying one night so didn't really have the time to explore. If I came...

The Hall is set in its own grounds on the north shore of Windermere, with beautiful views of the lake. The Loughrigg rooms are all single en-suite and are detached from the main building, with their own parking area; Helvellyn rooms are en-suite, and can be either singles or twinned, and are situated in the main Hall; the Scafell rooms are our latest addition and take the form of luxury lodges, again detached from the main building; all are en-suite; and feature picture windows with stunning views of the Cumbrian hills.
