As owners of 2 labs it is so hard to find a nice hotel that will let them stay and feel comfortable. Well we found it right on the shores of Lake Windermere. Fab hotel totally dog friendly. Rooms well set out and they put dog beds and treats for the important guests! Food excellent and staff cannot do enough...

Four trips to the Waterhead now, and four great reviews. We're so comfortable here that we sometimes just stay in the room and unwind. Staff all excellent, very professional. Food is delicious, access to Low Wood pool, sauna, hot tub etc is a brucie bonus too. Can't recommend it enough.

My family stayed for two nights, dinner, bed and breakfast. We enjoyed every part of our stay as the hotel was lovely, the food was good and the staff were friendly and attentive. The room was very comfortable and there was even a little bed for our dog. We will definitely become regulars now we have discovered this little gem.

We really enjoyed our stay here, rooms were clean and the beds very comfy. The hotel is a good distance out of town centre so noise was not an issue. Breakfast was ok, not the best but not the worst. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. I did find the hotel a bit basic compared to what I was expecting...

Everything was amazing and fantastic! Very friendly stuff, delicious food, very comfortable beds: all in all a very convenient location that we enjoyed very much. We stayed there for 2 nights in October and had a great time. Unfortunately we couldn`t stay longer because of visiting other hotels in Lake District. But Waterhead was definitely the cherry on top. We...

Very impressed. We have stayed at all of the English Lakes hotels and although this doesn't have the character of our previous favourite, the Wild Boar, it is much better on many other counts i.e accommodation, slippers and robes, products in room etc

We stayed here for three nights in September and the full experience exceeded our expectations by far we ate in the restaurant on two of the nights and our steaks were the best ever! Every member of staff went out of their way to be helpful! Easily the best place we've been for a long time.
