Finding a venue in the Lake District to stay is fairly easy but finding a wonderful location, a smashing bed and breakfast, great breakfasts and first class friendly service can be very stressful - so thank you to the Brantholme B & B for relieving all stress!! We loved every minute of our stay. The room we were in had...

Stayed here for a long weekend as the other reviews were good. The owners / staff are very welcoming and friendly. It's in a quiet location but only about 5 minutes from the centre of Ambleside and has good off road parking. There is a good choice for breakfast and everything seems freshly cooked. The rooms are spotlessly clean and...

What a fabulous B&B! We stayed only the one night but we are already arranging our next trip to stay again. The B&B is a credit to the owners, who themselves are wonderful, Very accommodating, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and made with local produce which makes it all that much better. It really did make a perfect weekend...

Stayed here for a walking weekend in April. Very well located for on a quiet secluded street with good parking and really close to shops, pubs and restaurants of Ambleside. Stunning view out of the back over the park, woods and fells. Lovely big rooms and bathrooms are very well equipped ... big, comfortable beds, soft carpets, 40" smart TVs,...

Cannot recommend this adorable B&B enough! Just minutes walking from the center of the village and to all the restaurants/cafes/pubs. It's also very close to parks/hiking trails. It's a beautiful building with bright, clean rooms and beautiful views of the mountains. The breakfasts every morning were wonderful. The B&B is dog-friendly so we were able to take our dog on...

Just had a lovely 2 night stay at Brantholme. I mainly chose to stay as it is a dog friendly B&B. It's also very conveniently located in Ambleside, just a couple of minutes walk from the town centre. Helen is a very welcoming hostess but not intrusive, available if needed & offered some very good suggestions for restaurants. Or room...
