I stayed for a night when on a business trip and the owner was very accommodating about me arriving late. The room was clean, bed comfy and there are bathrobes to use for the private bathroom down the corridor (think the other rooms are an suite). Breakfast was yummy and the b&b is in a lovely peaceful spot just a... More

We only stayed one night and the weather was dreadful all over theUK but the view from our upstairs room of the fells would have been very good! Kerry sorted our car parking off the street and was very welcoming but not intrusive The room was clean and well thought out. Hospitality trolley. Good idea to have special place for... More

This a small bed-and-breakfast that fits the bill very well. The owner is friendly and does a good breakfast; the room was fine; I could park the car in the road without any real difficulty. There are restaurants within easy walking distance. I was attending events in Grasmere but access by car is straightfoward. I have been only once to... More

My sister and I stayed there for three nights in August 2012. Aardvark is a lovely b&b, with a very warm, welcoming host. We got very good tips and had a wonderful time there. I wish we could have stayed longer. Another time, hopefully.

Spent at lovely 3 day August Bank holiday weekend at the Aardvark B & B. Kerry the owner made us very welcome and made us feel quite at home as soon as we arrived. Initially, indicated where we could park the car on her private parking area and then helped us with our luggage. We were on the top floor... More

Stayed for two nights, 30th & 1st July. Kerry was very friendly, and greeted us warmly on arrival, and given off-street parking. Our room was on the top floor and was lovely and light with two big windows with views to the hills. Breakfast was amazing, my partner who has a very healthy appetite, highly rated the breakfast.
