I'm sorry to say this 'hotel' and I use the term advisedly needs some money spent on it and fast. The door lock was literally falling off with me placing the screws back in the frame! The bed whilst reasonably comfortable creaked every time I moved. As for the décor the less said the better, the room was simply tired... More

We traveled down to Hull to see friends and with having a dog with us places to visit were rather limited. My friend advised this place as the weather was lovely so we could sit in the garden. The staff were friendly, the food was gorgeous. The drinks were a little pricey but that couldn't be helped, the food was... More

My friend and I booked this last minute and what a treat. Fabulous countryside around it. Great value accommodation. Couldn't fault the dinner and breakfast, so am surprised to read some of the other reviews on here. Staff were friendly and professional.

I went in and I was sat down by a lovely waitress. It was on Monday and I tried the Pork and sausage pie. It tasted like it had been frozen for a week and just stuck in a microwave. not fresh at all. The same went for the veg and mash that went with it, the mash was hard... More

The place is very well designed. You enter a cosy bar, order your drinks, take them into a well furnished conservetary order your meal and are taken into the restaurant when your starters are ready. Then the wheels fall off I ordered garlic mushroom which was excellent, my wife orderd soup, after while the waitress came back to tell us they... More

A very friendly place to stay. The food and beer were very good and the room that I had was more than adequate for my needs. The location is great if you want to walk / cycle along the Humber bank to surrounding villages. If you are visiting the area I would recommend this hotel.

Visited today for the first time. Found the food to be absolutely excellent as well as the service. I can't comment on the beer as i was the nominated driver. We are planning to return and stay for a night, and rectify this. There is i lovely calm, upmarket atmosphere in the place. The roaring coal fire certainly adds to... More

A very friendly (cheap) place to sleep with good food and good beer. the staff are very accommodating. Don't expect the ritz when you get to your room, just expect what you paid for and you wont be disappointed ......EE phone signal is poor here but that can't be blamed on the haven :)

First time I've been since it was flooded and it's been newly decorated, it all looks brighter and more welcoming than before. Service is really good and the food even better. Will be going back again to eat. (Only ever been for food, never stayed over)
