Stayed for two nights, using as a base to explore the surrounding sights - Dover Castle, White Cliffs, Battle of Britain Memorial etc...The owners, Bev and Michael, couldn't do enough for me. Very comfortable room with adjoining bathroom. The breakfast was first class and provided a hearty start to a days exploring. would readily recommend to others as a great...

I had a warm welcome when I arrived and my bag was carried up to my room. Nothing was too much trouble. The room and the adjacent bathroom were both very clean. The room had a double bed, sideboard, hanging rail and seat together with a TV and tea/coffee making facilities. The cooked breakfast was excellent. I am a coeliac...

What a find! A basement apartment with its own little front door, quirky and interesting and spotlessly clean. Attention to detail, like the wide selection of teas, books and magazines, and a dvd player and dvds. The owners are extremely helpful and friendly, breakfast is fresh and delicious. Yes, the property is on a busy road, but the noise died...

I need I to start out with my sincere apologies to Beverley and Michael mine hosts of 299 London Road. I cannot believe that I did not leave feedback after an overnight stay in late October last year and my belated review has been prompted by a potential return visit and realising I had not left a “thank you” from...

299 London Road is a beacon in an otherwise unglamorous Dover street. Its well maintained facade and shining red door are a portal to a very comfortable and quaint bed and breakfast within 5 minutes drive of the Dover Ferry terminal and a short walk from a superb Italian Restauarant called La Scala. The basement room is a spacious and...

Thank you for your very kind review of your short stay with us. We do try to make our guests feel as though they are staying with friends and not an impersonal, soulless hotel. Of course it s not to everyone's taste but our repeat guests show us that we are going in the right direction. We take our guests...

The host, Michael, was very welcoming and friendly throughout. In fact, he couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant. The room itself was very cluttered with a strange mixture of artifacts, including hunting tapestries and photographs of a naked tattooed lady in the bathroom - not offensive personally but perhaps not suitable for a family with young children. The location...

Thank you for choosing to stay with us and thank you for taking the time to write a review of your short stay. We are sorry that you consider Dover to be "derelict". We are certainly not a typical "chocolate box village". We are a very busy port and the gateway to Europe. Perhaps if you took a few days...

Arriving in Dover, this B & B is very easy to get to, north on the roundabout from the sea front and there is London Road. Be careful, you need to keep notice of the numbers, 299 is on the left just before the hand carwash on the right. You are met by Bev and Michael, as well as Esme,...

I only ever write reviews when they are exceptionally good or bad. This was perfection. Michael and Beverly were absolutely lovely and their B&B as close to home as you will get. When I phoned to confirm I was offered a pick up from the train station - but as it was only a 15-20 minute walk away I declined...

“We were in the lower level off street room. The only problem is the room had a very low ceiling though I am 6 ft tall and did not find it to much of a problem. This is what made it unique.”
