As mentioned by other reviewers this is a great location for exploring Canterbury, you can walk everywhere and parking at Radigunds car park is not expensive if you get the pre-paid voucher. We also found it quiet, despite staying at the weekend. However .... once in the hotel there is scant attention to guest comfort. The rooms are big but... More

If you want a good-sized, well kitted-out room in the centre of Canterbury but you're not bothered about hotel amenities such as a lift, a reception etc. this is the place for you. There is no member of staff on site, but there is a phone number you can call. The two nights we stayed, there were other occupants in... More

We are regular visitors to Canterbury and usually stay at the Abode hotel. On my last visit the hotel was fully booked so I booked Chaucer House instead. The booking was made through booking.com but soon afterwards I received an e mail from Martin and Shelly with directions and other useful information. This meant I was aware that this was... More

Okay! First impressions. The map provided to find the hotel was pretty useless! But being intelligent we did find it after a short stroll, having parked our car in the local car park. St Radigunds - which was extremely good value for money (when booked with the hotel), and ample space. However a reasonably long drag with our case to... More

A friend and I stayed here in the upper circle room and we both have to say it was absolutely perfect and we loved it! Firstly for parking in the car park, big tip, there's a short cut through the gardens at the Marlow theatre. Anyway first impressions were great, really central location and easy to find. The house itself... More

Stayed here last night with my husband and could not fault it at all. Nice to be able to enter via and access code and not deal with a check in desk. It was like having a whole house to ourselves. Tidy kitchen with utilities and lovely lounge area. We stayed in the upper circle room again lovely. Clean crisp... More

Firstly we booked with breakfast - but once we had paid (could not cancel) the confirmation came through with room only. When we emailed Martin and Shelley - we were advised they has stopped doing this. Not too bothered as cafes are really near. Then went to get cream tea (still advertised on Booking.com) but no cream tea. They have... More

Initial impressions were very positive. The room was very well appointed and in an ideal location for exploring Canterbury. We had been doing this in earnest throughout the morning, had booked a very highly recommended restaurant that was nearby for dinner. We found the nearby car park and paid 16 pounds for overnight parking - something to bear in mind.... More

We stayed for one night (Sat 5th Sept) to celebrate our anniversary. I had read previous trip advisor reports. I must report I experienced no problems at all. We enjoyed the cream tea on arrival and also the breakfast the next morning. Its a lovely well decorated house in a great location. Quiet but very central. No complaints at all.... More
