The room was absolutely gorgeous! Like home from home. No comfort overlooked. It was on a main road but had secondary glazing which helped with the traffic noise. When we arrived, we were shown to our room by a lady called Rosie - she was fab! A real character :). We saw our hosts at breakfast and they were very...

The Kings Head is in a poor section of Canterbury with extremely limited access to nearby restaurants. It usually serves food but was without a chef during my visit so I had no chance to sample their menu but they do have the highest 5 rating for food hygiene and their breakfast was excellent. My room was very comfortable with...

We go here every Wednesday after football training, it's has a lovely atmosphere and good larger on tap. They do great food and always have the football on for me and the lads. If you are looking for a quiet drink with a few friends then this is your place, it also has a beer garden for the summer.

We stayed in a twin room for one night. It was very pleasant, above the pub but weren't bothered by any noise, my friend is a very light sleeper and was fine. Comfy bed, well stocked clean bathroom. The breakfast was really good, lots of choice very good eggs. Made friends with some of the pub cats and pub locals,...

2 bed room, very small. Bathroom so small you had to dry off in the bedroom. Coffee served with breakfast the weakest I've ever had in my life. Otherwise friendly staff, good food, rooms immaculately clean. Car park is a joke, small path at the side of the place.

We stayed at this old pub in the heart of Wincheap for two nights for our daughters graduation. Our room was compact but perfectly adequate with a wardrobe for our clothes, a bedside chest on one side with a shelf on the other side, impressive array of teas, coffees and hot chocolate and nice biscuits. Bathroom was shoehorned in under...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The King's Head is a beautiful, traditional English inn dating from the 15th Century. We pride ourselves in being a privately owned, free house serving quality ales & food in convivial surroundings. Guests are made to feel at home by our friendly staff & regular bar clientele. We are very proud that so many visitors choose to return again & again, mainly, we think, due to the warm welcome they receive as 'locals', even though they may live hundreds or thousands of miles away! ... more   less
