We arrived at about 6:20pm and the few parking spaces next to the hotel were used. This included the disabled space, although the car was not displaying a disabled Blue Badge, which was selfish of the driver. Not sure if the hotel does anything to dissuade such people? We drove down Albert Road and found a space in a car...

We went there for business and we got the opportunity to book 2 rooms in Clarion. It is ideally located... In the center of St Albans you will find a lot of places to discover... The train station is not far away, you can easily access to it by walking. About the hotel itself, it's a nice place to stay...

Friendly staff, clean room and en-suite. We managed to park on site - there isn't much space at the actual hotel, so we were pleased about that. Central location. Recommend you walk to the WAFFLE HOUSE for breakfast, past the Abbey and through the park 10 minutes walk.

My wife and I stayed at the Clarion only but a few weeks ago and I have to say "What a stay". The hotel itself is attractive from the outside, clean, tidy inside with our room being immaculate. The manager Charlene was charming and attentive much like the receptionists. Breakfast (with Craig) serving was very entertaining. The hotel is centrally...

There us much that is good about this hotel; free parking, twin centre location, decent size rooms and TV, friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately my sleep was disturbed by what sounded like an expanding pipe every two of so hours and bottle being offloaded into the bins of the adjacent Cafe Rouge early in the morning. Had it not been...

Just spent 2 nights at the Clarion as visiting friends in area as well as used as a base for getting into London. Lovely boutique type hotel, staff friendly, really quiet at night, parking is split over 3 sites but we had no problem in getting space when directed by staff. Bar area seemed very pleasant & restaurant/dining area looked...

It's a shame, because I really liked other aspects of the hotel, but they could not compensate for a night tossing and turning because the bed and pillows were too hard. Breakfast was excellent, and we appreciated the availability of soya milk.

There are surprisingly few hotels in central St Albans so you would think it would be hard to get a good deal; not so. We got a really good price for our two night stay. The Clarion Collection Hotel is surprisingly big and modern once you get past the front part of the building. The rooms are clean, well appointed...

Stayed on business, well located in the heart of St Albans and although a short walk to park its well organised. The rooms and decor are a little tired but the staff throughout were excellent from reception to breakfast they really couldnt be faulted. Breakfast is good enough with plenty of choice hot and cold, overall a good experience and...

Clarion Collection Hotel St. Albans is situated in the heart of St Albans historic City Centre, opposite the magnificent Abbey and close to some excellent shopping, restaurants and traditional pubs. St Albans has a wealth of history dating some 2000 years including Roman Occupation. Conference Rooms in St Albans This grade II listed landmark building was built in 1911 by Samuel Ryder, donor of golf's prestigious Ryder Cup, to house the business of his successful seed company. It retains many original features including leaded light room screens, sweeping staircase and a magnificent mahogany and stained glass dome. Samuel Ryder's original fireplace surround complete with hand carved initials still stands in his private office which is now the principal meetings/function room. Samuel Ryder Bar & Restaurant, St Albans At the rear of this beautiful building, 60 modern guest rooms were built in 1999 to create a superb hotel. The Samuel Ryder building has been sympathetically refurbished in a contemporary style, yet retaining the period features, to house the reception, our Samuel Ryder Bar & Restaurant and three meeting rooms.
