Food on time and hot very enjoyable. Also a busy pub which had a good atmosphere The private room was very nice and the privacy was good. The staff were very adaptable. A worth while place to visit. A traditional old fashioned public house with space to sit also a restaurant area to the rear.

This pub has great character with interesting and quirky decoration. Location could not be better for Winchester sightseeing. Breakfast was excellent. Best of all was the extremely friendly and helpful staff.

Great pub with excellent staff. Food very good and very reasonable. Beers well kept. Great location and real sense of history. But rooms pricey and, whilst characterful like the rest of the pub, ours was more shabby than shabby chic - peeling paint in the bathroom, black mould in the grout, bathroom radiator not working. We would have asked to...

Nice old style hotel with good service. Close to cathedral and not that far from station. The pub and restaurant are excellent and have a friendly atmosphere. I would certainly recommend staying here if you visit the lovely town of Winchester.

This is a very classy and renowned old pub/hotel in a very classy city, so it's never going to be short of customers. We were there for Sunday lunch and the place was packed. Every nook and cranny in this lovely old building was full of couples and families enjoying their meals amid the buzz of conversation and laughter --...

This hotel was warm and welcoming. A great location situated right in the heart of Winchester and close to the cathedral. Great lunch and breakfast. Our room was charming and the bed extremely comfortable. Would highly recommend a stay here.

This was our second time staying here because my son attends a school close by. I love staying in historicity of the Arms and my room was lovely and well appointed. I stayed in the Redman room. The bed and linens were very comfy and I appreciated having fresh milk, complimentary waters, teas and coffee fixing in the room. Perhaps...

Credit once again to the whole team at wykeham arms - bar, restaurant and kitchen. Over the last 6 years I have had the pleasure of being a reasonably regular visitor and it never fails. Last nights meal was one of the best - brilliant service and incredible food especially the venison, dumplings and roast vegetable main course special. Fabulous!

So, I've got a great friend who lives in Winchester. An hour by rail from London, and a short walk from the rail station, takes you to the Wykeham Arms. It's his favorite pub, or to put it into his vernacular, it's a "smashing little pub". And that it is. Roaring fire, great bar, friendly locals - and what we...
