Bering locked out of our room for over four hours with a small child with all our belongings still in there is unacceptable. When given another room got our grandson to sleep without his pj’s and teddy’s (still locked in first room) was no manager available and was never given apology by management.
We booked a hotel room at Travelodge as it was affordable. We had to come a day early to Southampton due to the train strikes the next day. Getting our room keys was simple. Staff were friendly and polite and explained where our room was. Our room was fresh and airy. They supplied us with a fan which was great as it was the hottest weekend. We kept that fan on all the time. It was a standard room with a chair and table and TV. We had towels and enough toilet roll. The bathroom was tiny but it didn't bother us. I loved how soft the water was from the tap. There were extra pillows and they did supply a Duvet which wasn't really needed . The tea and coffee making facilities were basic but that didn't bother us. We drank loads of water anyway. Just had one problem and it was not having a tea bag holder. I don't know if they supply them anyway but would be good to put the tea bags on and not straight into the bin. The hotel was quiet and so was rhe floor we were on. Couldn't hear any noise outside but our fan probably drowned all that out! I would definitely stay here again as its near to Lidl and another convenience store as well as cafes. Its a short walk to West Quay shopping centre as well as bowling and other restaurants. It's a bit of a trek walking to the hotel from station but as it was hot, our bearings might have been scrambled! The walk to the train station was better and the place is signposted. I also liked the vending machine in the building as you can pay by card and not cash!…
WE had a very spacious and comfortable family room. It was overlooking the main road but very little noise through the night. The Manager and Staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was nice and plentiful. On the evening we ate in the Hotel the pizza's were cooked well and the drinks were reasonable. The chips could have been better. We had parking at the Hotel for the 3 days we were there, even although we travelled to Paultons Park on the second day. Can recommend as a good location for a family break. We will definitely stay here again.
Stayed for one night. Yes Travelodge is a budget hotel, but the room was clean, as was the restaurant. What really made the stay though was Megan. She was working both reception at times and the bar. Such a hard worker. When dealing with queues, she seemed unflappable. She was also lovely to deal with and nothing seemed too much trouble. A true hospitality professional.
Manager was rude to us in front of my children. Talking at the back so we could hear them. Very unprofessional. Very under staffed aswell had to wait during breakfast for food to arrive one after the other. Parking for only 10 cars.
Standard Travelodge service & the staff are very helpful with your requests, especially a guy called Sam who goes that extra mile. Located right in the heart of the town centre you have got everything you need from shopping, eating out & pubs.
Well worth the money, staff could be more timely on check-ins however over 20 turned up to check in at same time, so maybe more staff might help on busy days i.e pre cruising. The bed and pillows were wonderfully comfortable best nights sleep in a hotel I've ever had.
Very nice travelodge with a great location, walking distance from town and basically anywhere you wanna go within the city centre. The room was comfortable and clean. Special thanks to a receptionist Julia who was very polite and helpful with locations. She did a great first impression.
Nice comfortable room cooked breakfast was only warm not hot but plentiful. Dissatisfied we were given keys to our room which when we entered was already occupied, thankfully they weren’t in their at the time. Really not good enough.
Great personal service both late at night and at a very busy breakfast! Staff went above and beyond! Special to the blond lady serving breakfast and the young lad ( neck tatto) on reception and bar in the evening and again in the morning. We would gladly stay again.
